Saengchai Phochana sits in Phrom Phong's eternal late-night loop, a Cantonese-inflected Thai kitchen where locals know to arrive at opening or well past midnight to avoid the queue. Come for the legendary oyster and crab omelette — impossibly gooey and nothing like the versions across Southeast Asia.

My local friend took me to this restaurant, there are a lot of pictures on the wall with celebrities. The food was good, especially the smoked fish salad, it’s nothing like I was expected, if I have 4 stomach I would order more. I’d like to go back again sometime if I get the chance. Order the smoked fish salad!!!

Amazing food, more on the Cantonese side. Good portions and great seasoning. Loved the salad with pork and cashews as well as the soup. Would def recommend

We ordered the oyster and crab omelette, it was gooey totally unexpected. We have tried a version of such a gooey oyster omelette in Malaysia and Singapore, but did not expect such a gory one in Bangkok. Pleasantly surprised. The bamboo pith soup was good too! 150 baht for so much ingredients. The mushroom was good the minced pork bits were plentiful. The soup was savoury. The last item was deep fried basil leaves with century egg. I like the basil leaves but the fried century egg did not taste like century egg, too much of it was covered by the chili batter. I think if it’s without the batter it would taste more like century egg.
