About

Mexican kitchen in Sukhumvit that earns strong word of mouth for its tacos. Pork belly al pastor, carnitas, and smoked tuna are crowd favorites. A dependable stop for expats and visitors craving genuine Mexican flavors in Bangkok.

I can’t believe it - outrageously good Mexican food in Bangkok. We sampled our way through most of the tacos, and while I’d say the pork belly al pastor was my favorite, everything we had was a strong 8.5+ out of 10. (The Michelada was an 11.) Great service, too - the staff is clearly proud of what they serve, and they should be. It’s worth every baht, penny, or peso. ¡Graciás y hasta luego!

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve found in years of living in/visiting Bangkok. Every dish is a flavor bomb. We sampled almost the entire taco menu (the Carnitas and Smoked Tuna are elite) and the Enchiladas de Pato. Their cocktail game is just as strong… try the LA LOLA! We literally came back the next day for the tasting menu because we couldn’t get enough (but please note you need to book this at least one day in advance). An absolute must-visit destination! Side note: From the first time to now - around 3 months, we went back 4 times already! Pics are from both the à la carte menu and their set course ☺️☺️☺️

Tried the Mexican set course here and was impressed. The presentation is gorgeous, and each course delivers a sophisticated, layered flavor profile you don’t often find in typical Mexican restaurants. Fun, refined, and seriously yum.

We visited for the Valentine’s set menu, which showed flashes of promise but ultimately lacked the consistency expected at this price point (around 2,300++ baht). The hibiscus margarita was excellent, though the classic version leaned overly sweet. The grilled lettuce starter was surprisingly enjoyable, but felt modest in both ingredient and presentation for a menu positioned at this level. The tacos were flavorful, yet extremely small for a shared course. The main dish—black chicken with mole—featured a well-executed sauce, but the chicken itself was severely overcooked, dry, and largely bone. Dessert, a watermelon tres leches, was the biggest disappointment: a basic sponge with whipped cream and a firm piece of watermelon with rind attached, lacking both finesse and cohesion. A few strong elements, but overall the experience felt uneven and difficult to justify at these prices. One hopes this was an off evening.
