If you're looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place. The quality of the fish for the sashimi was top-notch, and the ramen broth was rich and flavourful. Everything was beautifully presented. A true hidden gem!

Small Japanese restaurant with a big menu!! There are 2 floors but we only ate downstairs where there are Japanese small floor tables plus a few bar styled seats. Just off the main road down a small alley so need to look around if specifically looking for here. The menu has a massive selection, not much for vegetarians but they were able to make me a dish without meat for me so that was great! Food came out quickly, well prepared and tasty. Loads of drinks also available from beers to whisky and our favourite hot sake, which we took! Service was great from all staff. A nice place for Japanese food if you are in the area!

STAY AWAY. I don't write 1 star reviews because I'd rather fix the problem with the staff but in this case, TWO of the three staff on shift did nothing about it, other than give us new glassware so here's a shitty review. No acknowledgement. No concern. No realization to do better, no action items. No correcting. Nothing. We were a large group of 7 and got a beer tower. When you get a tower they pre ice your cups, so right now we are all unsure if it's the ice machine, the ice well, or the cups. Regardless, I had 2 shards of glass come out of my glass and 1 shard of glass from 1 other friend. Everyone else didnt want ice in their glasses with their beer, I was the only one who wanted ice for my beer, so I took their ice and put it into a bucket and kept the bucket. 1 other friend ordered a mocktail and 1 other friend ordered a highball. On the table in total: 3 glasses of 7 had ice and 2 of 7 had shards of glass. Mentioned it again downstairs as we were paying and we did just that. Paid. She didn't wave the staff to start melting the ice and get fresh ice or get them to check the glassware, or even offer a discount or wave the 10% service fee. There were so many action points that could have happened in real time and nothing happened. I stood so off to the side, outside the door to see if they'd do anything when we left and nope. Just went about their night. Business as usual. Absol ridiculous behaviour. Tourists or not, shards of glass in glassware in multiple people's glasses is unacceptable. Stay away or if you honestly really must check it out, then dig through your glass and wipe with a tissue first Or go to the Izakaya down the street, a few blocks away just under the stairpass. So much more of a vibe!
