About

Tucked behind the Novotel near Nana, this restaurant comes recommended by the hotel across the road for good reason. Fish cakes with a standout dipping sauce open the meal, and the staff carry the evening without effort. Fills up — arrive early.

An amazing find in the backstreet. Food was delicious and the staff exceptional. We started with fish cakes which were flavoursome on their own but the sauce took it to another level. We followed them with panang beef curry and the deep fried sea bass with lemongrass sauce. Both were great but the standout was the sea bass. We ended the night with mango sticky rice and the house made coconut sorbet. More absolute winners. Overall a great night, made even better by great service.

This restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel (Novotel) across the road. It’s tucked a bit to the back and left of the building, but well marked. I understand this restaurant gets very busy, but we were lucky to get in right away. It was suggested we try the Pad Thai and it did not disappoint. It was pretty much the best I’d ever had. I had chicken and my husband had the shrimp. We also ordered spring rolls, which were equally delicious. The restaurant is reasonably priced, modernly decorated, air conditioned and very clean. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Absolutely outstanding food, easily one of the best meals we had during our trip to Thailand. The red and green curries were phenomenal, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. We loved it so much that we came back two days in a row. The garlic pork liver deserves a special mention, hands down one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. On top of that, the service was incredibly warm, kind, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!

This spot was recommended with great confidence by the doorman at our hotel. We were staying at the JW close by and it took less than 10 mins to walk to the restaurant. Thanks to the good folks here, was able to find the place easily as it’s sort of tucked away from the main street down a short lane way. We were not impressed by the food however, especially given the price point. Flavours were fine, herbaceous and colourful, but just a bit off. Particularly odd was the green curry which was unusually watery. We also got the morning glory veg and a half serving of the deep fried sea bass - again not bad but just not good either considering how accessible and easy it is to find amazing food in Thailand. I’m sure folks would be able to find better options close by.

Very overrated and extremely disappointing. The total bill came up to THB 3,655, which is far too expensive for the quality and portions served. Overall, the food was mediocre, bland, and lacking authentic Thai character. The Tom Yum Goong was the biggest let-down. A proper tom yum should be sweet, sour, spicy, and aromatic, but this version had no punch, no heat, and no depth — completely flat. The crab meat with curry powder was equally underwhelming. The sauce was milky and dull, with no umami or fragrance, making it feel very one-dimensional despite the premium price. Even the three-flavour fish lacked umami and balance. It tasted muted and forgettable, missing the bold sweet-sour-savoury contrast the dish is known for. Thai fish cake was bland and oily The vegetable dish portion was shockingly small for the price, more like a garnish than a proper sharing dish. The only item worth mentioning was the shrimp cake — nicely fried with a springy (QQ) bite. Unfortunately, one decent dish cannot justify the overall experience. Verdict: For this price point, there is far better Thai food on the street with stronger flavours and better value. First and last visit.
