Thai Niyom Cuisine

This place is a true gem. The food is consistently excellent, and everything I’ve tried has been full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The menu is endless, which can be a problem since it's making the whole decision process on what to order quite long, but at least you can be sure there is something to suit every palate! A special mention for the grilled pork and vegetable roll: the pork is perfectly seasoned and grilled and the variety of condiments allows you to assemble each roll exactly to your taste. A place you’ll want to return to (I certainly do).

I was lucky to be able to contact them via Facebook messenger to get a booking for same day lunch. They were responsive and accommodating! All the food & drinks were super good! We were just sad that the main course I had waited for 20 mins was sold out and likewise, their coconut ice cream (which was not available since yesterday), but we were not informed about it. We had other dessert and it was pretty good nonetheless!

I've been patronizing this place regularly for at least 7- 8 years. It was often quiet then and the entire second floor was frequently closed off and unused. Today, it's buzzing with lunch time crowd composed of both foreign and local customers who work in the vicinity. The ambience now also has a swankier feel with cool Buddha lounge music humming in the background and a bar that boasts a creative cocktail menu. The food however hasn't changed much and is still as good as ever! Their menu of traditional Thai dishes remains as extensive but the menu now comes with pictures of each dish displayed, greatly facilitating the decision making process. Many come for their super crispy omelette, as I did all those years ago but today I would highly recommend their Khao Soi. The thick broth has the curry spice scents that would make it right at home in South India, with only a faint whiff of the coconut milk aroma. There's about a 50/50 mix of the crispy and the cooked noodles which gives their khao soi that extra crunch compared to others. The spiciness isn't at all overwhelming and I normally empty the side dish of roasted chili into the broth, it truly enhances it. Be sure to mix in the chopped onions, preserved veg , fried shallots and baby garlic peels, no khao soi is complete without them !
