Thailicious Thai Restaurant

We come across this restaurant and the name catch our attention ... Thailicious 😊. The restaurant is small and with nice simple deco. The upper level is open for customers as well. The staffs are friendly and polite. Our appetizer, the papaya salad is mouth watering. The well balanced of sweet, sour and salty go so well with the crunch from the fresh papaya, tomato, shrimp and toasted peanuts. The pineapple fried rice taste average only. The tom yam koong is on a different level. The soup is thick and creamy. You can taste the lemon grass, other herbs and the button mushrooms. The 6 big sized prawns are fresh and chewy. The lime steamed fish is a bit too sourish and spicy for us 😅 but on the bright side, the fish is very fresh and the flesh firm. We leave feeling very full and the coconut ice cream will have to be another time. 😅

Visited this place at 10:30 pm. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered a plate of Pad Thai and a Thai red milk tea. The Pad Thai was chewy with very fresh shrimp. The Thai red milk tea wasn’t overly sweet, rich and fragrant. The price was a bit higher than average, but it’s worth trying at least once.

It’s a normal tourist catered Thai joint. Tasty fare and ok prices. If you just want your Thai food fix for the day… this will be fine. It’s right in the middle of India town. So lots of Indian options around so it’s rare for a Thai shop, but this fits the bill nicely. Overall all the dishes we took were good except the oyster omelette; not sure what went wrong there… skip this, maybe a different omelette.
