Thara Thong

We decided to stay in the hotel for dinner during our last night in Bangkok. This was such a great decision, especially after choosing to dine at Thara Thong. The service is friendly, the food and drinks are delicious, and the entertainment is so much fun. The Por Pia Thord was a nice starter of deep-fried spring rolls filled with vegetables and vermicelli. I highly recommend the stir-fried morning glory but I usually go for that anytime it is on the menu. You cannot go wrong with fresh green veggies stir-fried with garlic and hot peppers. The dancers come out at specific times and on certain days so definitely do not forget to check the schedule. We thought it was so entertaining and fun. Now for my standard comments. Location is very clean and well kept. Everyone takes off their shoes with the indoor seating and there are cubbies to keep them under the seating areas. You do sit on pillows or pads with minimal back support so just keep that in mind if that might cause you any issues. We were pretty comfortable and they have a dip down at every table for your feet to go in so you are not needing to sit cross legged or anything.

Thara thong is located on the first floor of the Sheraton, right alongside the river. The seating and ambience are lovely, and include live Thai dance performances and also music. The food was decent, the pad Thai was delicious and the pandan leaf wrapped chicken was good as well. We went with a big vegetarian group and they made an effort to accommodate our requests. We tried the vegetarian Thai green curry, the pad Thai, spring rolls, papaya salad, tofu stir fry, Tom yum soup and also a spicy cocktail with a kick called the Tom yum.

Authentic Thai cuisine all the dishes were good they are some that were bit sweet but overall delicious . Great service by the staff . There is a Thai traditional Thai show which entertain the guest while dining .
