We visited for dinner and were intrigued by the creative menu offerings. The food was a mixed bag – the coriander gyoza was a unique and tasty twist on a classic, and the unconventional fried rice mixed with soba was a surprise. The veg curry soup was also enjoyable. However, the sweet potato crisps didn’t live up to expectations. The atmosphere had a great vibe that made for an enjoyable dining experience, and our beer server was particularly attentive and friendly, which we really appreciated. However, there were some notable service issues that held the experience back. Some of the counter seats were quite uncomfortable for dining, which made it hard to fully relax. More significantly, the kitchen forgot one of our dishes, and when we were ready to leave, we had to wait about 10 minutes just to get our bill. The food quality and creative menu show promise, but the execution and service need improvement. We’ve had better experiences at Nagiya, which offers more consistent service alongside good food. Worth trying if you’re curious about the menu, but don’t expect everything to run smoothly.
