Coffee Shop No. 573 Toby’s at Noble Play Bangkok, Thailand My first morning in Bangkok, I couldn’t wait to jump out of bed and find a coffee shop. I went for a run to explore the neighborhood—the coffee shops—we’d be calling home for the next month. Toby’s at Noble Play caught my attention, so I made a detour and ordered a piccolo latte. Toby’s is a modern café tucked into a contemporary part of the city, just steps from the BTS near Central Embassy. The space is bright and open, with natural light pouring in from the front of the café. I went with a piccolo latte, hoping it might come close to a cortado. But honestly, I don’t think anything quite compares—especially a perfectly made cortado, with its velvety texture and delicate crema on top. Still, I tried to keep an open mind. The piccolo was delicious. I don’t think it will become my go-to in Asia, but it was absolutely worth trying. The baristas were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast menu felt more like something you’d find at a full restaurant. The space was filled with a mix of travelers and locals, creating an easy, welcoming energy. I found myself settling in, sipping slowly, and daydreaming about what my future in Bangkok might hold—and all the coffee shops waiting to be experienced. Enjoying life, one coffee shop at a time!

Toby’s serves a fantastic brunch, and the food definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered the Baked Eggs, Breakfast Bruschetta, Smashed Avocado, Complicated Avocado, and Crispy French Toast—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was great too, making it an all-around enjoyable meal. The only downside was the wait for a table. We ended up waiting for a while before the staff suggested bringing in extra tables to accommodate us. It would’ve been a much better experience if that option had been offered from the beginning. Overall, a great brunch spot with delicious food, and I’d definitely come back.
