Speak of a good time, VASO would be the definition—the name in Spanish (‘glass’ in English) is a dead giveaway. Been twice and both times equally filled with joy, great food, and good memories. The executive chef, by the name El Planca, a character himself, leads said good time. His love for simple yet complex cuisine, a longstanding ethos of Spanish cuisine, is evident in his craft—an ode to home, both old and new, in Bangkok. His command of quality, made simple, is a taste to behold. His team, both front and back of house, all follow the beat, literally and figuratively. A spell is put on you when you dine at VASO—the warmth of Thai hospitality, coupled with the chaos of Thai nightlife, is the energy you get even when you walk within 50 feet of the restaurant. It may not be for everyone to enjoy, but it definitely gives a memory of Bangkok that is unparalleled. Highly implore you visit.

Electric energy this restaurant. Do not expect a romantic chat with your partner..expect her to dance on top of the bar instead. Very unique restaurant ( or disco) with amazing food. Covap Iberico ham is a must..and the rest, ask the chef...he will recommend gently and will greet you with a shot.of tequila. Highly recommended. Then you will decide if you want back or not, but when in Bangkok...it is a must.

I’ve been to Vaso Spanish Tapas Bar three times, and every visit has been an amazing experience. The vibes are lively and fun, and the dining experience is always enjoyable. The food is very good, and it’s especially great if you come in a group, as you can order more dishes to share and try a wider variety of their menu. Their wine and sangria are excellent and pair perfectly with the food. One of the highlights is when someone from the bar rings the bell — they play the Macarena and everyone gets a free shot of sangria. It really turns the place into a party atmosphere. Vaso is not just about dining; it’s a dining-and-party experience. The place is always packed, so booking in advance is highly recommended. For larger groups of 8 pax, there is a minimum spending of THB 30,000 with a deposit required during booking, while smaller groups of 4 pax do not require a deposit. If you’re in Bangkok, come and experience it for yourself — you won’t be disappointed. 🍷🎶

Disappointing Experience Despite Great Ambience! I had a very disappointing dining experience at Vaso Bangkok with my friend. While the atmosphere and vibes were fantastic, the food did not meet expectations, especially considering the price. We ordered the tuna with avocado purée and grilled octopus. Both dishes were quite bland, and the octopus had an unfamiliar smell that made it unpleasant to eat. Overall, the food felt overpriced for the quality and taste delivered. What made the experience worse was the service. One staff member a man wearing a shirt who appeared to be a chef or senior staff approached us by raising his voice and speaking in a confrontational manner. This was extremely uncomfortable and not appropriate, especially in Thai service culture, where politeness and respect are highly valued. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I strongly believe this is not an acceptable way to treat customers who are paying and contributing to service charges. The restaurant may be popular and busy, but that should never be an excuse to disregard customers’ feelings. If you are working in Thailand, understanding and respecting Thai manners and service etiquette is essential. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed. Great ambience alone cannot compensate for poor food quality and unprofessional service. We ended up needing to leave the restaurant immediately because the situation made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I truly question how a restaurant can make its customers feel this unwelcome. This is not how people should treat one another, and there are simply no words to justify such behavior.

The atmosphere is lively and full of energy. The staff are very welcoming. They even dance and interact with guests while encouraging everyone to enjoy their drinks. The food was alright, though the prawns were actually quite good. I do think the music selection could be improved. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience, but the vibe definitely feels more geared toward tourists.
