Located inside the St. Regis Bangkok, VIU immediately impresses with its elegant and refined setting. From the very entrance, the experience feels welcoming and polished, thanks also to the kind and graceful Thai ladies at the reception, who set a warm and professional tone from the first moment. I started with the cold cuts selection, a delicious and well-balanced combination of Italian salami and cheeses, perfectly paired with excellent jams and honey. Simple in concept, but executed with great care and high-quality ingredients. The vitello tonnato was outstanding: the meat was extremely tender and very flavorful, complemented by a savory, well-balanced sauce. The presentation was elegant and highly photogenic, showing great attention to detail while fully respecting this Italian classic. One of the absolute highlights of the meal was the Sicilian red prawns with burrata and caviar. The combination of flavors was exquisite and incredibly light. The sweetness and delicacy of the prawns, the creaminess of the burrata, and the elegant salinity of the caviar came together in perfect balance. This dish alone is worth coming back to Chef Matteo. Another memorable course was the truffle soup, rich, comforting, and deeply aromatic. A special touch was when Chef Matteo personally came to the table and freshly grated the truffle on top, adding intensity, aroma, and a genuine sense of care. The fresh pasta was excellent in both versions—beautifully made and perfectly cooked, whether paired with the lamb sauce or with octopus. In both cases, the seasoning was well balanced and full of flavor. Desserts were also excellent. The granita was outstanding, refreshing, light, and perfectly executed—an ideal way to finish the meal. What truly elevates VIU, however, is the hospitality, especially from Chef Matteo. His approach is warm, attentive, and sincere. He takes time to engage with guests, explain dishes, and make everything feel personal. This is authentic Italian hospitality—natural, respectful, and heartfelt. Service throughout the meal was professional, well-paced, and genuinely friendly. Conclusion: VIU is a restaurant you return to not only for excellent food, but for the overall experience and how it makes you feel. If six stars were possible, this place would truly deserve them.

Five Star Experience with a Stunning View! I had an absolutely wonderful time at VIU. The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views of the city and the greenery below. What truly stood out, however, was the service. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and always smiling. They really made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Bangkok!
