I love this restaurant—it’s my go-to spot, especially when I want to introduce friends to authentic Thai food. The prices are reasonable and not too expensive. Honestly, I love everything here, but my absolute favorite is the crispy catfish—it’s a must-try! They also have some well-known cakes and desserts, which are perfect to end the meal with. Parking is available in the alley nearby for just 30 baht, which is super convenient.

The first time I visited Khrua Dok Mai Khao, I just stopped by the Samyan branch for coffee and dessert. But later, I ended up having a full dinner at their main branch in Bamrung Muang. The restaurant is spacious, and as you walk in, you’re surrounded by an array of cakes, cookies, ice cream, and all kinds of tempting sweets. What I love most about this place is the variety of cuisines they offer—everything from Thai dishes like som tam pla ra to Mexican-style tacos. And the best part? Every dish is packed with authentic flavors. This review is from my fourth visit, and I’ve included all the pictures in one post. I won’t go into too much detail—I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. My only complaint is the limited parking, but overall, I’m really impressed and will definitely be coming back again!

Negative Reviews
We ordered 3 main dishes to try different types of food but they were all disappointing. Especially the fried cat fish and salted egg... They have a big menu but seems like no speciality or flavours in the dishes. Overhyped ratings for no reason.

My first time eating here was quite pleasant. The taste of the food was not Thai spicy but rather mild and easy to eat. I would take my foreigner friends here the next time. The highlight dish would be mango with sticky rice. The mango had the right amount of sweetness, when eaten with the warm sticky rice, it was mind blowing! Cheers
