Tried the dim sum at Yok Chinese Restaurant inside The Emerald Hotel, and it was a pleasant surprise. The setting is classic and slightly dated — much like the hotel itself — but the food more than made up for it. The dim sum was freshly made and came out steaming hot. Favorites included the shrimp har gow and siu mai — both juicy and well-seasoned. The dumpling wrappers were delicate without being sticky, which is always a good sign. The BBQ pork buns were fluffy and flavorful, and the turnip cake had that nice crispy edge.

The dim sum buffet is definitely worth the price! The price includes appetizers and desserts, and they offer a wide variety of dumplings, Chinese steamed buns, and deep-fried dishes.
