Buying fresh and frozen fruit from Thailand

Thailand exports durian, mangosteen, longan, mango, coconut and other fruit, fresh or frozen. Most orchards are in the east, the north and the south, but many packers and exporters have their head office or cold store in Bangkok, Pathum Thani or Nakhon Pathom.

According to the Trade Policy and Strategy Office, exports of fresh, chilled, frozen and dried fruit were USD 6,507.0 million in 2025, Thailand's largest farm export (TPSO, February 2026).

What buyers usually ask a supplier:

  • which fruit they ship, and in which months
  • fresh, frozen or both, and the minimum order per shipment
  • certificates (for example GAP for the farms and GMP for the packing house) and a copy of each
  • whether they handle the phytosanitary certificate and the cold chain to the port
Do these companies grow the fruit?
Many of them are packers and exporters. They buy fruit from farms and pack it for export. Each profile shows the type, based on the company's own website.
